The Canadian Shai Gilgeous Alexander, the Serbian Nikola Jokic, the Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Americans Donovan Mitchell and Jayson Tatum integrate the first NBA team of the year announced this Friday.
Gilgeous Alexander, leader of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Jokic, of the Denver Nuggets, Giannis, of the Milwaukee Bucks, and Tatum, of the Boston Celtics, were unanimously chosen by the voter panel.
Three of the five members of the first NBA team are not American players, something that marks an upward trend in the weight of foreign stars in the League.
Jalen Brunson, from the New York Knicks, Steph Curry, of the Golden State Warriors, Anthony Edwards, of the Minnesota Timberwolves, LeBron James, of Los Angeles Lakers, and Evan Mobley, of the Cavaliers, entered the second team.
In the third team, Cade Cunningham, from the Detroit Pistons, Tyrese Haliburton, of the Indiana Pacers, James Harden, of Los Angeles Clippers, Karl Anthony Towns, of the Knicks, and Jalen Williams, of the Thunder, were chosen.
