The 40-year-old veteran player, about whom there have been publications reports of him being cut due to problems he supposedly had with his teammates and coach Ty Luehas spoken without hostility in ‘People’ about the Clippers' decision to waive him.

“It's been a little crazy these last few days, to say the least. But honestly, I'm home. My daughter had exams yesterday. My nephew played a basketball game. My son has a game on the 12th… I've never seen my son play a game in person. Not a high school or high school game. So I'm excited to see him play.”
“I'm at peace with everything. Most of all, I'm excited to be here and have the opportunity to play a small role in whatever happens in the future.”
Chris Paul, who has played for seven different franchises in his 21-year NBA career, posted disappointing numbers (2.9 points, 3.3 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game) in 16 appearances as a substitute this year with the Clippers with whom he signed for 3.6 million dollars.
The Clippers and Paul, who announced his retirement after this season, are currently in a waiting situation, as he cannot be traded until December 15 at the earliest.
