“Good afternoon everyone. Thank you for joining us in this traditional year. I wish you happy holidays in the company of your loved ones. I want us to remember our professional colleagues who have left us this year. At a time of encounter like this, I take this opportunity to thank you for your informative work. At this club we have always valued the work of the media. Within the framework of honesty, professionalism and rigor. It is a time to keep in mind the values that have identified us. That have served to make Madrid the most admired and awarded in the world. And the media has helped us. Everything we have achieved has been thanks to sacrifice, humility and solidarity. This club represents the millions of people who. Madrid is something very special. Therefore, those of us who are part of this club feel a great responsibility.
Real Madrid fans know that this shield means something special. Even when the goal is impossible. We try to bring this to reality through our Foundation. Thanks to it we help more than 400,000 people around the world. Sport is a very powerful tool of solidarity.
Negreira case
Christmas is a time that invites us to reflect. This club has constituted its history and its legend. We are the club with the most income in the world according to Deloitte and the most valuable for Forbes. Mos has allowed us to experience one of our most successful stages in these 15 years. Both in football and basketball. And Christmas is also a time to reflect. And Madrid's biggest concern is the refereeing situation. As you well know, the very serious situation that occurred with the 'Negreira case' for almost two decades deserves justice. It is completely incomprehensible that the institutions have left Madrid alone in this fight. How is it possible that the president of the referees asks us to forget it? How are we going to forget the biggest scandal in football history? How can the RFEF and LaLiga behave like this? They have the duty to ensure integrity.
The 'Negreira case' is the most serious case in football today. We know that more than 8 million have been paid for referee technical reports. And on top of that they were never received by the coaches. Who can believe that they paid for these reports that not even the coaches knew of their existence? It highlights the need for radical change.
Penalties in Vitoria
Yesterday we were refereed by a referee who threatened us with taking action against our club on the eve of the Cup final. And it seems that the trips suffered by Vinicius and Rodrygo are not penalties. It is the novelty of that season. It is possible that some club has been relegated as a victim of the 'Negreira case'. Our football has been damaged and justice must be done. Don't forget that the investigating judge in the case described it as systemic corruption. And Barça recognized that these payments were made because they were convenient. Because? So that? Madrid will continue to insist and you, the media, play a fundamental role.
