Frédérique Cassereau, also the player's lawyer, assured that it would be “elegant” for the club not to appeal the sentence, which he considered “historic” because it strengthens the players' rights in front of the clubs.
The dispute between Mbappé and PSG began after the forward's departure to Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, to which he arrived free, without having to pay transfer compensation to the French club.
The entity chaired by Nasser Al Khelaifi did not pay him the last three months of salarywhich considered that they were part of the verbal agreement reached by the footballer at the beginning of that campaign, when he announced that he would not make effective the third year of the contract that he had signed in 2026 and that it was optional.
