Junior will be the third Colombian football team that the Uruguayan will be in charge. In addition to its two stages in Cali (2020-2021 and 2034-2025), it was also in charge of Independiente Medellín, with which it reached the final of Clausura 2023.
Arias, who also has experiences in the leagues of Uruguay, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia, will be accompanied on the shark bench by Uruguayans Ignacio Berriel, as technical assistant, and Juan Manuel López, in the role of physical trainer.
“This team ended badly (last semester), but it was first. We are going to build on what Professor César Farías built,” said the Uruguayan strategist in his official presentation as helmsman of the Barranquilla team.
