This June 21, the Pedro Antonio Zape Stadium in Puerto Tejada will become the epicenter of an initiative that goes far beyond sport. “Football has a unique transforming power. This cup not only makes visible the talent of our young people, it also gives them tools to build a life project far from violence,” said Claudia Calero, president of Asocaña.

The executive director of Propacific, María Isabel Ulloa, highlighted the importance of articulated work. “What we see here is the result of an alliance between companies, social organizations, community leaders, academia and public sector. All united for the same purpose: generate real opportunities for young people in the territory.”
This effort takes even more relevance against the reality that the north of Cauca lives. According to a recent early alert of the Ombudsman's Office, young people in this area are exposed to multiple risks for the presence of illegal armed actors.
