The 54 -year -old coach, who has led the City to win six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2023, was invested Doctor Honoris Causa by the rector of the University, Nazir Afzal, at the Whitworth Hall.
“Manchester means a lot to me. I have spent nine years here and it has become my home. People, culture, my incredible soccer club, my colleagues … Everything is very special for me and my family. When I arrived in 2016, I did not know how long it would happen here. The way this city hugged me made everything easy. My time here has been beautiful,” said the Catalan technician.
