Valencia Basket, current league champion, has incorporated the Spanish International Pivot María Araújo into its staff for the next two seasons, as confirmed by the club in a statement.
Araújo, 1.82 meters high, arrives to reinforce an inner game 'taronja' that has undergone changes after the departure of Stephanie Mavunga and Nadia Fingall and which has Kayla Alexander and Raquel Carrera, renewed, and with the return of the Awa Fam quarry.
At 27, Araújo arrives in Valencia from the Cims CBK Mersin, rival of the Valencian team in the final to six of the Euroleague and with which he has averaged 5.8 points and 4 rebounds per game in the maximum European competition of women's basketball.
The Galician is one of the fixed players in the calls of the Spanish coach, Miguel Méndez, and is on the list to play the Eurobasket held between June 18 and 29 in Greece, Germany, Italy and Czech Republic.
With his signing for Valencia Basket, Araújo returns to the Endesa Women's League where he already wore the Uni Ferrol shirt and Spar Girona.
