The FEB assembly approves a budget of 28 million and sets for the Eurobasket 2029


The General Assembly of the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) approved on Saturday by majority the management corresponding to 2024, highlighting a budget for 2025 that exceeds 28 million euros and a 4 1.5 million 'surplus' forecast, overlooking 2029 male Eurobasket, which will be played in Spain.

In the meeting held in Madrid, 65 of the 120 assembly members participated, who supported the final accounts of exercise 2024 and ratified the competition bases and calendar for the 2025-26 season, as reported by the entity in a statement.

The financial director, Alfredo Vera, explained that more than 82% of the budget comes from federative income, while approximately 18% corresponds to subsidies of the Higher Sports Council (CSD).

For her part, the president of the Feb, Elisa Aguilar, proceeded to present the global balance of the last 12 months, and stressed the designation of Spain as the headquarters of the Male Eurobasket of 2029.

This event, whose inaugural day will be held at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium “will focus the focus of world sport in our city.”

Aguilar also took the opportunity to praise the achievements of the national teams, which throughout the summer of 2024 treasured ten medals, including a silver by the 3×3 women's team at the Paris Olympic Games.

“The teams in Spain represent each of your levels and territories, and take us all in their shirt when they compete,” he said.

The Assembly also approved the composition of the Disciplinary Organs of the Feb, thus consolidating the organizational structure for the new Olympic cycle.
