The Peruvian Prosecutor's Office has confirmed that “there is no procedure against Iniesta and that it will not be investigated”, after verifying that his name was used, as revealed by the newspaper 'El Mundo', without having any relation to the events. The former Barça captain is therefore exonerated of the accusations leveled by a group of businessmen against his company, Never Say Never (NSN) when through journalistic leaks from Peru it was indicated that he was under investigation for an alleged fraud of half a million euros.
The resolution issued by the Peruvian Prosecutor's Office confirms that Andres Iniesta nor did he participate nor did he know about the operations that came under suspicion. In that sense, the resolution of the Prosecutor's Office explains, and literally, that “it is not appropriate to formalize or continue preparatory investigation against Andrés Iniesta Luján for the alleged crime of aggravated fraud.”
In this way, the Peruvian Prosecutor's Office determines that Iniesta does not have any procedure nor is he under any investigation for a conflict that arose between a subsidiary of NSN and some local promoters who demanded payment of that amount for sporting and musical events that were never held.
