From the initial jump, the Valencia players set the defensive bar very high and found the basket with ease. The break served as a reaction for a 'taronja' team that returned the set with a 2-12 lead by Alina Iagupova who, in addition to scoring, was able to connect with her teammates to distribute the score and return the lead to over twenty points before the break (24-47, min.20).
Going through the locker room did not change the game one bit. Valencia Basket continued to make use of its inside advantage and the points from Alexander and Raquel Carrera near the rim punished the defensive weakness of a Hungarian team that could not stop its rival.
Basket Exchange
The only positive thing for DVTK was to maintain the scoring pace they found before the break thanks to the success of Veronika Kanyasi with two consecutive triples. But the exchange of baskets left their points somewhat anecdotal, since the difference only grew until it exceeded 30 points with a basket on the horn by MarĂa AraĂşjo (45-76, min.30).
