Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber is a doubt to feature in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday against Man City. <\/strong><\/p>\n The Gunners managed to book their place in the Champions League quarter-final by beating Bayer Leverkusn 3-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16.<\/p>\n Mikel Arteta\u2018s side are still on for the quadruple this season, but to give themselves a chance, they need to beat rivals Manchester City on Sunday afternoon at Wembley in the Carabao Cup final. It is their chance to win their first piece of silverware under Arteta since his first season in 2020 when they won the FA Cup.<\/p>\n However, heading into the game, several Arsenal players could be injured and miss the match. The likes of Jurrien Timber and Martin Odegaard are both in doubt heading into the final, both of which could be huge losses.<\/p>\n Timber has been excellent this season, but he hasn\u2019t featured in their last few matches as he is currently dealing with an ankle injury.<\/p>\n Ben White started at right-back against Bayer Leverkusen, but he was taken off as a sub in the second half, which made former Arsenal midfielder Paul Merson believe that Arteta was resting White for the final, suggesting that Timber won\u2019t be fit.<\/p>\n Merson said on Sky Sports: \u201cWhite, you know, sat there, waited. He comes in, he didn\u2019t do anything wrong, but Timber would probably play.<\/p>\n \u201cBut then White, White came off. So, if White\u2019s coming off, that tells me that he\u2019s probably playing and they haven\u2019t got another right back and he\u2019s got to play in the final. So, for me, yeah, the team won\u2019t be far off the starting team tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n In Arteta\u2019s most recent injury update on Timber, he suggested that he was hopeful the Dutchman could return for the final against Man City, but he has made it clear that Timber is very much in doubt. Arteta said earlier this week: \u201cWe don\u2019t know (for the Cup Final).
