Arsenal entertained Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Emirates Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a good result at home in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League last-16 tie. The Gunners made a quick start to the game and scored the opening goal in the 36th minute thanks to Eberechi Eze\u2019s excellent strike. Mikel Arteta\u2019s men went into the half-time interval 1-0 up on the scoreline.<\/p>\n

Declan Rice doubled Arsenal\u2019s lead in the 63rd minute as the Gunners ended up earning an impressive 2-0 win on the night (3-1 on aggregate).<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s take a look at how each Arsenal player fared during the clash against Bayer 04 Leverkusen.<\/p>\n

GK: David Raya \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.<\/p>\n

RB: Ben White \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

White earned the ball back once and made one good chance going forward.<\/p>\n

CB: William Saliba \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He dealt with the danger when he could and did well to secure the shutout.<\/p>\n

CB: Gabriel \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Brazilian talent gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch.<\/p>\n

LB: Piero Hincapie \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He performed his defensive duties well and had a couple of bright moments going forward.<\/p>\n

CM: Declan Rice \u2013 9\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rice was a positive influence at both ends of the field and deserves credit for getting his name on the scoresheet after the hour mark.<\/p>\n

CM: Martin Zubimendi \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He anchored the midfield well and was a good presence on the ball.<\/p>\n

RW: Bukayo Saka \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saka was a real threat in the final third, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

CAM: Mercy of the King \u2013 8\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He managed to shine at times in and around the Leverkusen penalty area and scored the opener with a great strike in the 36th minute.<\/p>\n

LW: Leandro Trossard \u2013 7.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Trossard was a constant menace in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.<\/p>\n

ST: Viktor Gyokeres \u2013 7\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was a real handful for the opposition defenders, but there was no goal for him.<\/p>\n

Substitutes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

CM: Christian Norgaard \u2013 6.5\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He added some energy to Arteta\u2019s midfield.<\/p>\n

LW: Gabriel Martinelli \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

Martinelli made one key chance in the final third.<\/p>\n

ST: Kai Havertz \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

His impact on the game was minimal.<\/p>\n

RB: Cristhian Mosquera \u2013 6\/10<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was solid at the back.<\/p>\n
