Chelsea legend Joe Cole is expecting \u201ca bit of needle and a little bit of nastiness\u201d as Arsenal take on Man City in the Carabao Cup final at the weekend.<\/p>\n
The Gunners are nine points clear of the Citizens in the Premier League as the two clubs battle it out for the title in the final weeks of the season.<\/p>\n
Arsenal<\/strong> still have to travel to the Etihad Stadium to face Man City<\/strong> next month, while the Citizens have a game in hand on Mikel Arteta\u2019s side \u2013 but both clubs still have a chance of winning an unprecedented Quadruple this term.<\/p>\n The Gunners and Pep Guardiola\u2019s men are still in the FA Cup, while both sides play the second legs of their Champions League last-16 clashes this week.<\/p>\n Arsenal and Man City will face each other in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday, as both teams look to stay competitive in all competitions.<\/p>\n And now Cole has made two predictions ahead of the contest with the former Chelsea and England midfielder claiming he fancies Arsenal to win.<\/p>\n READ: Big Midweek: Barca v Newcastle, Liverpool, Guardiola, Dowman\u2026 Newport<\/strong><\/p>\n Cole said on The Dressing Room podcast<\/em>: \u201cI\u2019m not working on the Carabao Cup final but I\u2019m going as a fan which I actually haven\u2019t done for a long time.<\/p>\n \u201cI fancy Arsenal, I think Arsenal beat them. Having watched Man City live, I fancy Arsenal \u2013 but it\u2019s a great game for the neutral.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ll make another prediction, I think there will be a bit of needle and a little bit of nastiness on the benches. There\u2019s a lot of tension building at this point in the season so look out for that.\u201d<\/p>\n Turning his attention to the title race, Cole added: \u201cI was doing the West Ham-Man City game and we\u2019re in the tunnel, the City players are behind me and Arsenal just scored.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been in that situation when you\u2019re waiting on a result and it does deflate you. Do you know what I mean?\u201d<\/p>\n Despite Cole\u2019s Arsenal prediction, Wayne Bridge and Carlton Cole are both backing Man City to win the first domestic trophy on offer.<\/p>\n Former West Ham striker Cole said: \u201cI think Man City win it. They know it\u2019s time, if they lose this I think they lose all hope of winning the league.<\/p>\n \u201cSo they\u2019re going to have to put this one to bed. I\u2019m going with Man City.\u201d<\/p>\n Ex-Chelsea left-back Bridge added:\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m going to go with Man City.<\/p>\n \u201cWe know it\u2019s kind of almost over with the league but them getting a win here puts a bit more pressure on Arsenal.
